AUTOMATION SYSTEMS

Real-Time Protection and Smart Filtering for Power Quality

Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) systems are smart, dynamic filtering solutions that detect the harmonic distortion caused by non-linear loads in real time and suppress it by injecting an opposing current.

Using advanced digital signal processing (DSP) and real-time control algorithms, Enersolix AHF solutions effectively remove harmonic pollution from the network. They lower THD, reduce heating in transformers and cables, extend equipment life and improve power quality.

Why an Active Harmonic Filter?

While conventional passive filters can only act on specific frequencies, active filters continuously analyse the changing harmonic profile and cancel it instantly. The system therefore delivers clean power at all times, even when the load profile changes.

Static VAR Generators (SVG) are high-speed power electronics solutions that respond to reactive power demand within milliseconds, especially where inductive or capacitive loads change rapidly.

Enersolix SVG systems are based entirely on IGBT inverter technology.
Unlike conventional capacitor-based compensation, they detect sudden load changes instantly and dynamically generate or absorb reactive power as the system requires.

How Does It Work?

SVG systems continuously monitor the network's instantaneous power factor, voltage and current angle. As required, they

  • supply capacitive power when the load is inductive,

  • behave inductively when the load is capacitive,

and do all of this with an IGBT-controlled inverter, without mechanical contacts, silently and free of vibration.

Applications:

  • CNC machining lines

  • High-speed automation systems

  • Data centres and metro substations

  • Arc furnaces and steel plants

  • Wind and solar power systems

  • Networks with unbalanced inductive/capacitive loads

Technical Specifications (Example):

  • Voltage level: 400 V / 690 V (LV); 6 kV / 10 kV (for MV applications)

  • Response time: <15 ms

  • Power range: 30 kVAr – 2000 kVAr (expandable, modular design)

  • Technology: IGBT-based inverter

  • Compliance: IEEE 519, IEC 61000-4-7, IEC 62589

  • Cooling: Fan or liquid cooled

  • Monitoring: HMI panel / Modbus / Ethernet / SCADA integration

Advantages:

  • Real-time, precise compensation

  • No risk of resonance

  • Stable operation even under overload

  • High performance with sudden load changes

  • Compact, modular and maintenance-free

  • Fully compatible with SCADA and energy monitoring systems

Enersolix SVG solutions go beyond conventional compensation, making your entire power system smart, flexible and resilient.
