INDUCTIVE (SHUNT REACTOR) COMPENSATION
A Safe, Stable Solution for Balancing Capacitive Loads
Inductive compensation systems use shunt reactors to remove excess reactive power in plants and networks with heavy capacitive loading.
Long cable runs, lightly loaded transformers and cable-dominated networks make a system behave capacitively. In this case, shunt reactors balance the network inductively and keep the voltage stable.
Enersolix inductive compensation systems can be designed for fixed or automatic operation, each optimised through project-based engineering.
What Does the System Do?
-
Prevents overvoltages caused by capacitive loading
-
Balances the network voltage profile
-
Maintains reactive power balance and helps avoid penalties
-
Creates a stable, safe operating environment in LV and MV systems
